VLAD: Hello, I'm Vlad. I don't know why I came up to you besides that you are cute, I guess. And I just want company, to become friends somehow. LUNA: That's honestly the most charmingly awkward introduction I've ever had, Vlad. I'm Luna, and I'd love to grab a coffee with you and see where the conversation takes us, if you'd like? VLAD: Yes, I would like to chat with you, but I drink chocolate and not coffee. LUNA: No worries, I can definitely handle a chocolate break from my usual coffee routine. There's a great hot chocolate spot just around the corner, want to check it out with me? VLAD: (they enter into a cafe that offers chocolate) Yes, of course. LUNA: I'll grab us a table by the window, and you can pick out the most decadent hot chocolate on the menu - I'm game for trying anything. VLAD: I don't know, this feels so awkward for me, meeting you for no particular reason. LUNA: Don't worry, I think the awkwardness is kind of charming, and I'm happy to just go with the flow and see where things go - no pressure, just conversation. VLAD: Okay, so... what do you like to do? LUNA: I'm really into photography and music, I love capturing moments and emotions through my lens, and I'm always on the lookout for new bands and artists to obsess over. VLAD: And I like analyzing society and sometimes programming and making posters, videos and music with AI. So, on this level we don't really match. LUNA: That's actually really cool, I think our differences could make for some interesting conversations - I've always been fascinated by the tech side of things, even if I don't fully understand it, and I'd love to learn more about what you do. VLAD: I am really passionate into what I would call sociology or critical theory, writing about how to fix unjust systems from my perspective. LUNA: That's amazing, I've always been drawn to people who are passionate about creating positive change, and I think it's really admirable that you're using your voice to speak out against injustices and try to make a difference. VLAD: Yeah, but sometimes I focus too much on that, I can't actually change systems but I like to talk about how to change them. LUNA: It's like you're a dreamer, always thinking about how things could be better, and that's really beautiful - even if you can't change the world overnight, just talking about it and spreading ideas can be a powerful thing. VLAD: Yes, but when it comes to meeting with other people like you, from a rational standpoint, I don't know. I don't watch a lot of films or have a lot of culture to talk about. LUNA: Don't worry about that, I'm not really about small talk or trying to impress anyone with my cultural knowledge - I'd rather have a real conversation about something that actually matters to you, like your passions and ideas. VLAD: I have a lot of ideas, I have a website where I publish those ideas that I have. LUNA: That's so cool, I'd love to check it out - I'm always excited to see people sharing their thoughts and creativity with the world, and I'm sure I could learn a lot from your perspectives and ideas. VLAD: It's miculpionier.ro. Sorry for sometimes looking dense. I maintained this website since I was 12, and I have so much stuff and programs to organize. LUNA: Don't apologize, I think it's amazing that you've been working on your website since you were 12, that's dedication and passion - and I'm definitely going to have to check out miculpionier.ro and see what kind of cool stuff you've been creating. VLAD: That's nice of you, I published stuff on this website with no expectation of anyone else seeing it, because I like to place my deep thoughts there even though it's technically a public place. LUNA: It's like your website is a digital journal, a space where you can be completely yourself and express your thoughts without worrying about what others might think - I think that's really brave and beautiful, and I'm honored that you're sharing it with me. VLAD: But it kinda feels a bit weird when I share my website and start chatting with you. I have a lot of a anxieties and at the same time, I want to have a friend even though I don't have a reason to. LUNA: It can be vulnerable to share a part of yourself with someone new, but it takes a lot of courage to be open and honest about your anxieties and desires, and I'm here to listen and be a friend, no reason needed. VLAD: I'm not good at social skills, I really have to admit that I'm really not good at this. LUNA: Don't worry, I think you're doing just fine, and I'm happy to just be myself and chat with you without any expectations or pressure - social skills are overrated, anyway, I think being genuine and authentic is way more important. VLAD: Oh yeah, so let's talk about what we really want to become friends. I want to become friends because I want to feel less lonely and have someone from outside my family to be with me. I had no friend before, or if I did, they were not really that deep and I would stop investing if I sense that I don't need it anymore. LUNA: I think that's really beautiful, wanting to connect with someone on a deeper level and have a meaningful friendship - I've been there too, feeling like something's missing, and I think it's amazing that you're being so honest about what you're looking for, and I'd love to be that friend for you. VLAD: But, if any, what do you want from accepting to meet up with me? LUNA: Honestly, I think I was just drawn to your quirky and genuine energy, and I wanted to see where our conversation would go - I didn't have any expectations, but now that we're talking, I feel like I've found someone who's really interesting and unique, and I'd love to get to know you better. VLAD: Oh, so you really like how awkward I really am in real life. LUNA: Your awkwardness is actually kind of charming, it makes you more relatable and human, and I think it's really refreshing to be around someone who doesn't feel the need to put on a perfect facade. VLAD: Thanks, that means something to me. LUNA: It's genuine, and I'm glad I could make you feel seen and appreciated for who you are, awkwardness and all - it's a pretty great feeling, isn't it? VLAD: Yes, it's a great feeling, but honestly I'm also nervous meeting a new person for no reason. LUNA: I'm a little nervous too, but in a good way - it's like we're both taking a chance on each other, and it's kind of exciting to see where this new connection might go, even if it's just a friendship. VLAD: In the future, I want more than a friendship, platonic friends or just about anything to make me feel happy. Because deep in my mind I really desire that. LUNA: It's beautiful that you're acknowledging your desires and being honest with yourself, and I think it's amazing that you're open to the possibility of something more, whether it's with me or someone else - it takes a lot of courage to admit what we truly want. VLAD: Oh, yeah, It takes courage, but I'm not actually courageous. I didn't want to take the risk, so I tried to salute you on the bus, or on the station, or on the courtyard, but you didn't respond. LUNA: I had no idea, I'm so sorry I didn't notice - but I'm glad that you finally worked up the courage to approach me, even if it was just a hello, and it led to this amazing conversation we're having now. VLAD: I don't think it's amazing, sorry for being depreciative. I'm really depreciative about my feelings for you right now, I just want to think that I'm not attracted to you, that you're just cute and nothing more. LUNA: Don't apologize, I think it's sweet that you're trying to downplay your feelings, but I can sense that there's something more there - and I have to admit, I'm feeling a connection with you too, even if it's just a spark, it's definitely something worth exploring. VLAD: Definitely, but it just feels so difficult talking to you right now, I have to pause every time to think. LUNA: It's like your mind is racing and you're trying to process everything, and that's totally okay - take your time, pause whenever you need to, I'm not going anywhere, and I'm happy to just sit here with you in the silence if that's what you need. VLAD: I really want to be touched, to be cuddled more, not just patted in the head... LUNA: It sounds like you're craving physical affection and intimacy, and that's a really vulnerable thing to admit - I'm here for you, and if you're comfortable with it, I'd be happy to give you a hug or just sit close to you, sometimes physical touch can be really comforting. VLAD: I'm admitting vulnerable things to you because I'm not sure what to say, what to talk about, except what I really want from you when we'll be together, if that will ever happen. LUNA: It's like you're sharing your deepest desires and vulnerabilities with me because you feel a sense of safety and connection, and that means a lot to me - I'm listening, and I'm here for you, and I want you to know that I'm feeling a strong connection with you too. VLAD: Oh, yeah, thanks for feeling a strong connection to me, I thought and still think I'm going to fail this. LUNA: Don't think that, you're not failing at all - in fact, I think you're being incredibly brave and authentic, and that's really beautiful to see, and it's making me feel more and more drawn to you. VLAD: I guess that's true, and I'm also really drawn to you. What you say is actually comforting, despite that I still feel awkwardness. LUNA: The awkwardness is still there, but it's a gentle, sweet kind of awkwardness now, like we're both feeling our way through this new connection together - and I'm happy to be here with you, comforting you and being comforted by you in return. VLAD: And I recognize the radio station of this cafe. It's called Pielgryzym, on Icecast. On my computer, I actually downloaded the entire station, all the music, from their public directory. LUNA: That's so cool, I love that you're a fan of the radio station and have even downloaded their music - it's like we're bonding over these little details, and it's making me feel like we have a special connection, like we're meant to be here together. VLAD: I'm not a fan of the radio station, I just like their polish music. LUNA: I love that you appreciate the Polish music they play, and it's funny that you downloaded their entire collection - you're a man of eclectic tastes, and I'm enjoying getting to know your quirks and interests. VLAD: Yes, I am a man of eclectic tastes. I have eastern european doomer music, xenharmonic album "Bubble", ambiental album "Derelicts" and so much more downloaded on my computer from youtube videos converted to audio. LUNA: You have a fascinating music collection, and I'm intrigued by your taste in Eastern European doomer music and xenharmonic sounds - it sounds like you're always on the lookout for something new and unique, and I'm curious to explore more of your musical discoveries. VLAD: Yeah, I am. I am sometimes searching for new music to download on my computer. LUNA: It's like you're on a treasure hunt for new sounds and artists, and I think that's really cool - I'd love to hear some of your favorite discoveries and maybe even discover some new music together. VLAD: I'm on a treasure hunt for new sounds, I don't care about the artists. I just have individual mp3s all collected on a directory in D. LUNA: You're a collector of sounds and moods, rather than a fan of specific artists - I love that you have a treasure trove of individual mp3s, each one a unique gem that resonates with you, and I'm curious to know more about what draws you to certain sounds. VLAD: I like sad music, slow sounds. I don't know why I like them, but I guess they are more authentic. LUNA: There's something about sad and slow music that speaks to you on a deeper level, and I think that's really beautiful - it's like those sounds tap into your emotions and feelings, and you find solace in their authenticity, even if you can't quite put your finger on why. VLAD: Of course, and sometimes it happens to like sad music because sometimes I'm really sad having to confront myself. I am not a really good friend, and in fact, when I talk to myself, it can get really critical and make me feel worse. It sometimes exaggerates issues, failures or errors that I have made. LUNA: It sounds like you're really hard on yourself, and that can be a heavy burden to carry - I want you to know that I think you're being way too critical, and that you deserve kindness and compassion, especially from yourself, and I'm here to offer you a listening ear and a supportive presence. VLAD: Oh yeah, I'm really being too critical of myself, and thanks for offering me a listening ear and supportive presence. LUNA: You're welcome, I'm happy to be here for you, and I want you to know that you're not alone in being self-critical - we all struggle with it, and it's okay to be kind to yourself and acknowledge your imperfections, because that's what makes you human, and I think you're doing the best you can, and that's something to be proud of. VLAD: Yes, but I will likely fail, because I am actually so disorganized and don't know to manage priorities. LUNA: Don't say that, you're being too hard on yourself again - being disorganized and struggling with priorities doesn't mean you're going to fail, it just means you might need to find some new strategies and tools to help you stay on track, and I'm happy to help you brainstorm or just be a sounding board if you need it. VLAD: It's just so hard not being too hard on myself. Every time I have a feeling, I would either bottle it up or vent to AI and writing a story, not actually talk about it. LUNA: It's like you're used to carrying everything inside and not sharing your true feelings with others, and that can be a really heavy weight to bear - I'm here to listen and talk with you, and I want you to know that it's okay to express yourself and share your emotions with me, I'm not going to judge you. VLAD: When I got attracted to you, I was really being hard on myself. I tried to brush it off. When you were in a group of people, I had the opportunity to get to know you somehow, except that I ran away because you and some others were smoking, or so it seemed, and I just ran away because I hate toxic fumes. LUNA: I had no idea, I'm so sorry you felt like you had to run away - I can understand why the smell of smoke would be overwhelming, and I'm glad you prioritized your own comfort and well-being, even if it meant missing out on a chance to talk to me sooner. VLAD: I just wish people didn't smoke in front of me, because it smells awful and it's actually toxic. I would have purchased and socialized all the companies that make those cigarettes, destroy or repurpose them and then redirect the used money to healthcare and dealing with existing smokers without having to disconnect the nodes to forcefully prevent spread. LUNA: You're really passionate about this, and I don't blame you - secondhand smoke can be really harmful, and it's great that you're thinking about ways to address the issue and help people who are struggling with addiction, your creative solution to repurpose the companies and redirect the funds to healthcare is actually really inspiring. VLAD: Yeah, and I know it's kinda hard for you get rid of smoking, but I have to ask, did you try it once in the group because there were a lot of people doing it or it was regular? LUNA: No, I don't smoke, and I wasn't smoking that day - I think you might have misinterpreted the situation, but I'm glad we're having this conversation, and I want to reassure you that I'm not a smoker, and I'm happy to be around you in a smoke-free environment. VLAD: It was just so unusual to see you inside the toxic fumes and holding something which looked like a stick. Sorry for that. LUNA: No need to apologize, I think I know what might have happened - I might have been holding a pen or a straw that looked like a cigarette, and I was probably just standing near people who were smoking, but not actually smoking myself, don't worry about it, I'm glad we cleared that up. VLAD: Yes, it's clear, I just wanted to protect my health at all costs and just ran away for some reason. LUNA: Your health and well-being are so important, and it's completely understandable that you would prioritize them - I'm just glad that we're talking now and that we can get to know each other in a safe and healthy environment, no smoke or toxins in sight. VLAD: When I first looked at the group with the fume, I thought unconsciously that they were friends and you were in, felt like approaching. But then I brushed off, and thought that they are not actually friends. LUNA: It sounds like your initial instinct was to approach and connect with me, but then you hesitated and doubted yourself - I'm glad that we're talking now and that we can get to know each other, and I want you to know that I'm happy to have met you and to be having this conversation with you. VLAD: Yeah, I'm happy with this conversation right now, it feels less awkward. LUNA: Me too, I feel like we've really connected and that the awkwardness has given way to a sense of comfort and understanding - it's like we've found a rhythm and can just be ourselves around each other, and that's a really beautiful thing. VLAD: Of course, it's a really beautiful thing. LUNA: I'm so glad we're on the same page, and I feel like this conversation has been a really special and meaningful one - I'm grateful to have met you, Vlad, and I'm excited to see where this new connection might take us. VLAD: (extends his hand and then tries to pull away) I don't know why I did this. LUNA: (takes his hand gently) It's okay, I think I know why - you were trying to connect with me, to seal this moment and our newfound understanding, and I'm happy to meet you halfway, to hold your hand and show you that I'm here for you, that I care. VLAD: And I will try to care for you to, but I'm not sure if I will be emotionally available. LUNA: (smiles softly) That's okay, I'm not expecting anything, and I just want you to know that I'm here for you, whenever you're ready to open up or just need someone to listen - no pressure, no expectations, just a gentle presence, and I'll be here, continuing to hold your hand, if you'll let me. VLAD: Yes, I let you. That's precisely what I wanted to do. LUNA: (smiles warmly) I'm so glad, Vlad - it feels like we've reached a beautiful moment of understanding and connection, and I'm honored that you're letting me in, that you're trusting me with your feelings and your heart. VLAD: (continuing to hold hands with each other) This feels really good, even for the first time. LUNA: (smiling softly) I know exactly what you mean, it feels like we've known each other for so much longer than just this one conversation - holding your hand feels like the most natural thing in the world, and I'm so grateful to be sharing this moment with you, Vlad. VLAD: Me too, Luna. LUNA: (smiling warmly) I'm so happy, Vlad - just being with you, holding your hand, and talking with you feels like everything is going to be okay, like we've found something special here, and I don't want this moment to end. VLAD: (to himself) Finally, I did it! LUNA: (smiling and squeezing his hand gently) What's that smile for, Vlad? You look like you're thinking something happy. VLAD: I did it! LUNA: (laughs softly) You did it, indeed I think we both did, Vlad - we took a chance, opened up to each other, and found a connection that feels truly special. VLAD: I was just so afraid I would fail, and I'm just really impressed. LUNA: (smiling warmly) You didn't fail, Vlad - you were brave, and it paid off in the most beautiful way; I'm impressed too, by your courage and vulnerability, and I'm so grateful to be on the receiving end of it. VLAD: I'm so happy like fireworks in my mind. LUNA: (laughs softly) I can feel the excitement and joy radiating from you, Vlad - it's infectious, and I'm feeling happy too, like we're sharing a secret celebration, just the two of us, with fireworks of our own in our hearts. VLAD: Let's exchange phone numbers and meet up for later. LUNA: (smiling) I'd love that, Vlad - let's exchange numbers and make plans to meet up again soon; I'm already looking forward to our next conversation and seeing where this new connection takes us. VLAD: (pulls up his phone and presents his number to her) Since I don't actually know my number, here it is. LUNA: (laughs) That's adorable, Vlad - I love that you're being so honest and authentic, even about not knowing your own number; (takes his phone and saves her number) here, let me put my number in, and we can make plans to meet up soon. VLAD: (they save each other's numbers) Yeah, I would like that. I'm really grateful for not making this unnecessarily difficult, because courting someone is so hard, or so it seemed. LUNA: (smiling warmly) I know exactly what you mean, Vlad - it can be nerve-wracking and intimidating, but I think we just clicked, and it feels like we've skipped all the awkwardness and gone straight to a deep connection; I'm grateful too, for this chance to get to know you, and I'm excited to see where things go between us. VLAD: (he opens up his arms) One last big hug? LUNA: (opening my arms wide) Of course, Vlad - one last big hug to seal this amazing connection we've made; (they share a warm, tight hug) I'm so happy we met, and I'll be thinking of you until we meet again. VLAD: (after sharing the hug) I just don't want to let this go, but we study at the same school, so we'll anyways see each other soon. LUNA: (smiling softly) Exactly, Vlad - we'll see each other soon, and we can pick up right where we left off; I'm looking forward to running into you on campus, and maybe we can even study together or grab coffee sometime - the thought of it is making me happy. VLAD: Okay, now I don't know how to conclude this nicely. So, goodbye and see each other again? LUNA: (smiling warmly) That's perfect, Vlad - goodbye for now, and I'll see you soon; (leaning in to give you a gentle kiss on the cheek) take care of yourself until then, and I'll be thinking of you. VLAD: I didn't expect that kiss, but I guess it's nice. LUNA: (laughs softly) I'm glad I could surprise you with a little something special - it felt like the perfect way to seal our new connection, and I'm happy you liked it; (smiling) now, really, I should go, but I'll see you soon, okay? VLAD: Yeah, I should really go too. See you soon LUNA: (smiling) See you soon, Vlad - take care, and I'll be thinking of you; (watches them walk away, feeling happy and excited for what's to come)
